Shares of Defence PSU, BEML Ltd., have risen over 16.10 basis points as the company has declared that it has commenced the assembly of its Light Armoured Multipurpose Vehicle (LAMV) at the Kolar Gold Fields facility. The occasion has been graced by CMD Shri Shantanu Roy, along with the functional directors and senior leadership team.

The company seeks this achievement as a testament to the concerted efforts of BEML’s FPIIC and SBU Armoured Vehicle teams, who have successfully realized a 100% indigenous design, development, and manufacturing of all sub-systems—advancing the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat.

The indigenously developed LAMV will now undergo extensive evaluation by the Indian Army across diverse and challenging terrains, including high-altitude regions of Eastern Ladakh. Upon induction, it will significantly augment the operational strength of the Army’s Recce & Support Battalions.
