CMD SECL Sh Harish Duhan Visits Korba Area Mines to review mines expansion

Chairman and Managing Director of SECL, Sh. Harish Duhan, visited Manikpur OC, Saraipali OC, Ambika OC, and Rajgamar UG mines in the Korba Area on 4th May 2025. During the visit, he assessed critical operational parameters and issued clear directives to fast-track approvals, boost production capacities, and ensure readiness for the upcoming monsoon.
At Manikpur OC, he stressed the need to accelerate the mine’s expansion from 5.25 to 7 MTY and achieve timely acquisition of ToR, EC, and CTO by January 2026. He instructed the team to complete First Mile Connectivity within schedule. He also emphasized drone-based asset surveys and the urgent possession of land. Ahead of the monsoon, he directed the strengthening of haul roads and the rapid installation of pumps and pipelines.

In Saraipali OC, the key focus was obtaining clearances to increase capacity to 2.1 MTY. He instructed prompt compensation disbursal and urged teams to finish monsoon-related roadwork without delay.
At Ambika OC, the CMD directed immediate steps to commence production. He stressed the fast-tracking of employment and R&R proposals and called for expediting approach road construction.

For Rajgamar UG, he underlined the initiation of HCM operations and advised pursuing EC revalidation for continued operations. He also reviewed challenges at other underground mines—Dhelwadih, Singhali, and Bagdewa—highlighting concerns such as forest clearance renewals and land acquisition for infrastructure. The CMD appreciated the field teams’ efforts and called for strong coordination, timely execution, and shared responsibility to meet the targets for FY 2025–26.
