CMPDIL and ECL Ink MoA for Solar Power Projects to Support Net Zero Goals

In a significant step towards sustainable energy, Central Mine Planning & Design Institute Limited (CMPDIL) has signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with Eastern Coalfields Limited (ECL) for the implementation of various solar power projects. The initiative includes Ground Mounted, Rooftop, and Floating Solar Power installations across ECL's operational areas.

As part of the agreement, CMPDIL will take on the role of Project Management Consultant (PMC), overseeing every stage of the project—from initiation to post-award execution—ensuring timely and efficient implementation.

The MoA was formally signed by Shri Sudarshan Prasad, General Manager (E&M)/Head of Department, CMPDI, and Shri Sarvesh Kumar, General Manager (E&M)/Head of Department, ECL. The signing ceremony was held in the presence of Shri S. Nagachari, Director (Technical/CRD), CMPDI, along with other senior officials from both organizations.

This collaboration marks a vital move toward ECL's commitment to clean energy and sustainability. By harnessing solar power, ECL aims to accelerate its transition to renewable energy, aligning with national targets for achieving Net Zero emissions and promoting carbon neutrality.
