Coal India shares production and off-take update; production rises by 1% at 781.06 MT
For the financial year 2024-25, Coal India Limited (CIL) has produced 781.06 million tonnes (MT).

State-owned Coal India has announced the Provisional Production and Off-take Performance along with the Subsidiary Companies for the month of Mar’25 and for the period Apr’24-Mar’25.
For the financial year 2024-25, Coal India Limited (CIL) has produced 781.06 million tonnes (MT). Though it was larger than the 773.6 million tonnes produced in 2023-24, yet the number falls short of the goal of 838 million tonnes. The coal dispatch number for 2024-25 is 763.2 million tonnes.
Among the subsidiaries, BCCL has notified the highest coal production growth i.e, 12.2%. Meanwhile, in terms of coal dispatch, Northern Coalfields Ltd has improved the growth of 12.2% in March 2025, and for the April 2024- March 2025 period, Eastern Coalfields Ltd has notified the growth of 13.7% among the highest one.
