Coal Production and Dispatches Grow 5.75% in FY 2025–26

New Delhi:  Coal output and dispatches in India saw a notable increase during FY 2025–26, driven by strong performance from both captive and commercial mines.

Total coal production reached 19.48 million tonnes (MT), while dispatches stood at 18.02 MT, reflecting a year-on-year growth of 5.75% in production.

The growth underscores the continued focus on enhancing domestic coal supply and meeting the energy requirements of industries across the country.
