DVC IdeaCon 2026: Team CTPS Wins Grand Finale at Damodar Valley Corporation Headquarters, Kolkata
Kolkata, June 27, 2026: Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) successfully conducted the Grand Finale of IdeaCon 2026 — its flagship ideation contest — at DVC Headquarters today. The event brought together nine teams from various field formations and headquarters, showcasing innovative solutions focused on Operation & Maintenance (O&M) and Material Management.

Senior Officials Graced the Event
The Grand Finale was attended by senior DVC leadership including Shri Swapnendu Kumar Panda (Member, Technical), Shri Sidhartha Sankar Das (Member-Secretary) and Shri Manish Kumar (Member, Finance). Shri Arun Mandal, GM and HOD (T&D) and Shri Sankar Nath Mukhopadhyay, Expert (T&D) were also present on the occasion.
Expert Judging Panel
The judging panel comprised Shri Dinesh Kr. Singh (ED, System), Shri Sadananda Mukherjee (ED, Finance), Shri Sudipta K. Mukherjee (Former ED Generation, CESC) and Smt. Gargi Konar (HOD, Power Engineering, Jadavpur University).
Innovation at the Core
Nine teams representing DVC's field formations and headquarters presented innovative ideas aimed at improving operational efficiency, O&M practices and material management systems. The event was organised by DVC's Training and Development Department, Headquarters.
The contest reflects DVC's commitment to fostering a culture of innovation and empowering employees to convert ideas into impactful, on-ground solutions across its power generation and transmission ecosystem.
