SAMBALPUR. Mahanadi Coalfields Limited has accelerated welfare activities to further improve the life style of its miners serving in remote project areas in Odisha.
Addressing at the Miners’ Day celebrations here last evening, company’s CMD Mr A N Sahay congratulated all the members of the company, trade unions and officers’ association for their coordinated efforts in MCL growth and progress. I congratulate you all,’’ he said amid applause.
The company which contributes about Rs 100 crore under CSR, is focusing on creating infrastructure for welfare of its miners in the remote coalfields areas. Enumerating achievements of company during last financial year, Mr Sahay said, ‘’Newinfrastructure ,like separate hostels for trainees officers and the staff as well as modern healthcare and recreational facilities in our all the areas, is in offing.’’
