NLC India Organises Contractors’ Meet under Vigilance Awareness Campaign
New Delhi: As part of the Vigilance Awareness Campaign 2026, NLC India Limited’s Central Contracts–Thermal organised a Contractors’ Meet, providing a platform for contractors to share their concerns, queries and suggestions.
The programme featured an address by Thiru Appakannu Govindarajan, IPoS, Chief Vigilance Officer, NLCIL. He emphasised the importance of regular stakeholder interaction, effective grievance redressal, timely wage payments and greater transparency in contract execution and bill processing.
Shri Samir Swarup, Director (Human Resources) & Director (Power) (Additional Charge), NLCIL, highlighted the need for proper planning, clear definition of scope and appropriate eligibility criteria to encourage wider participation and healthy competition.
Contractors also shared their views and suggestions on contract execution, payments, labour welfare and operational matters. The interaction focused on strengthening transparency, streamlining processes and enhancing coordination for timely resolution of concerns.
The meeting encouraged continued stakeholder dialogue, supporting a stronger culture of transparency, accountability and engagement.
The event was held at Yegneswaran Auditorium, L&DC, Neyveli.
