NMDC Fixes Iron Ore Prices for January 2026

New Delhi, (09.01.2026): NMDC Limited, India’s leading iron ore producer, has announced the revised prices of iron ore w.e.f. January 9, 2026. The price for Baila Lump (65.5%, 10-40 mm) has been fixed at ₹4,600 per tonne, while Baila Fines (64%, -10 mm) will be priced at ₹3,900 per tonne.

These prices are FOR (Free on Rail/Road) rates and exclusive of additional charges such as royalty, District Mineral Foundation (DMF) and National Mineral Exploration Trust (NMET) levies, cess, forest permit fees, transit charges, GST, environmental cess, and other applicable taxes.

The update comes in line with NMDC’s regular review of iron ore pricing and is aimed at maintaining market transparency and aligning with prevailing demand and supply conditions in the domestic steel and mining sectors.
