CHENNAI. The second 500 MW unit of Vallur Thermal Power Project of NTPC Tamil Nadu Energy Co. Ltd. (NTECL), has started commercial operation . On completion, Vallur will have installed capacity of 1500 MW with three units of 500 MW each. Presently 1000 MW is in operation at the project, one more 500 MW unit is expected to go on stream this financial year. Orissa Diary
