PFC Transfers Two Power Transmission Subsidiaries to Power Grid and Enerica Infra

Power Finance Corporation (PFC) has sold two wholly-owned subsidiaries, SR & ER Power Transmission and Morena I SEZ Transmission, to Power Grid and Enerica Infra for ₹19.63 Cr and ₹22.35 Cr, streamlining operations and supporting India’s power infrastructure.

New Delhi: Power Finance Corporation (PFC) has completed the transfer of two wholly-owned subsidiaries of its subsidiary, PFC Consulting Limited, to successful bidders.

The subsidiaries transferred include:

  1. SR And ER Power Transmission Limited – responsible for strengthening inter-regional transmission between the Southern and Eastern grids. Acquired by Power Grid Corporation of India Limited for ₹19.63 crore.

  2. Morena I SEZ Transmission Limited – developed to evacuate power from renewable energy projects in Morena SEZ, Madhya Pradesh (Phase I, 2,500 MW). Acquired by Enerica Infra 1 Private Limited for ₹22.35 crore.

The transaction is at arm’s length, unrelated to promoter or promoter group entities, and finalized on February 3, 2026. It does not qualify as a slump sale.

A PFC spokesperson noted that the transfers are part of the company’s strategy to optimize its portfolio and support efficient power infrastructure development across India.
