PM dedicates Power Grid Rs 568 Crores three transmission projects to nation
These projects of Rs 568 Crores will ensure stable and efficient power supply to key load centers, support ISTS grid for inter regional power flow & ensure a stable and efficient power supply to meet growing energy demand of the nation.

Sh. Narendra Modi, Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, dedicated POWERGRID’s three transmission projects, namely WRES-XXVII, WRES-XXVIII and WRES-XXIX, to the nation in Bilaspur, Chattisgarh. These projects of Rs 568 Crores will ensure stable and efficient power supply to key load centers, support ISTS grid for inter regional power flow & ensure a stable and efficient power supply to meet growing energy demand of the nation.
The Western Region Expansion Scheme XXVII (WRES-XXVII) implemented by POWERGRID Raipur Pool Dhamtari Transmission Limited will lead to 176 ckm addition in the National Grid.
The Western Region Expansion Scheme XXVIII (WRES-XXVIII) implemented by POWERGRID Dharamjaigarh Transmission Limited will lead to augmentation of 1500 MVA transformation capacity in the National Grid.
The Western Region Expansion Scheme - XXIX (WRES-XXIX) implemented by POWERGRID Dharamjaigarh Transmission Limited will lead to augmentation of 1000 MVA transformation capacity in the National Grid.
