SECI invites Request for Selection for Supply of 1000 MW Excess Power

New Delhi: Navratna CPSE, Solar Energy Corporation of India Ltd, (SECI) has invited proposals proposals for the purchase of Excess Renewable Energy (RE) Power during solar hours from existing Renewable Energy projects that already have valid Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) in place.

The PSU shall enter into a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with the successful Bidders selected based on this RfS for purchase of Excess RE Power for a period of 12 years based on the terms, conditions and provisions of the RfS and PPA.

The Ministry of Power (MoP) has issued “Guidelines for Tariff Based Competitive Bidding Process for Procurement of Firm and Dispatchable Power from Grid Connected Renewable Energy Power Projects with Energy Storage Systems” through a Gazette Resolution dated 09.06.2023.

Under this RfS, the RE Power Developer (RPD) shall be required to set up ISTS-connected RE Power Project(s) with Energy Storage System (ESS), including the transmission network up to the Interconnection/ Delivery Point with the objective of supplying RE power under the Existing PPAs and supplying Excess RE Power to SECI, at its own cost and as per the provisions of the RfS and PPA.

The Scheduled Commencement of Supply Date (SCSD) for supplying Excess power from the full Project capacity shall be the date as on 18 months from the Effective Date of the PPA.

The Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) for an amount of Rs 9,54,000/MW (Indian Rupees Nine Lakhs and Fifty-Four Thousand/MW) per Project shall be submitted in the form of Bank Guarantee.

The Bid-Submission Last Date is 30-01-2026 and the offline submission last date is 03-02-2026.
