PM Modi inaugurates 10th edition of Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit
The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi inaugurated the 10th edition of Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2024 at Mahatma Mandir, Gandhinagar today. The theme of this year’s summit is ‘Gateway to the Future’ and includes the participation of 34 partner countries and 16 partner organizations. The Summit is also being used as a platform by the Ministry of Development of the North-Eastern Region to showcase investment opportunities in the North-Eastern regions.
Multiple industry captains addressed the occasion. Chairman of ArcelorMittal, Shri Lakshmi Mittal, Mr Toshihiro Suzuki, President of Suzuki Motor Corporation, Japan, Shri Mukesh Ambani of Reliance Group, Mr Sanjay Mehrotra, CEO of Micron Technologies, USA, Gautam Adani, Chairman of Adani Group, Mr Jeffrey Chun, CEO Simmtech, South Korea, Shri N Chandrasekaran, Chairman Tata Sons Limited, Chairman of DP World, Mr Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, Shri Shankar Trivedi Sr VP Nvidia and Nikhil Kamat, Founder and CEO of Zerodha addressed the gathering and informed about their business plans. The business leaders praised the Prime Minister's vision.
Mr Shin Hosaka, Vice Minister for International Affairs, Japan, Mr Ibraheem Yoosef al Mubarak, Assistant Minister of Investment, Saudi Arabia, Mr Tariq Ahmed, Minister of State for the Middle East, North Africa, South Asia, Commonwealth and United Nations, UK, Mr Vahan Kerobyan, Minister of Economy, Armenia, Mr Tiit Riisalo, Minister of Economic Affairs and Information Technology, Mr Ryad Mezzour, Industry and Commerce Minister, Morocco, Mr Prakash Sharan Mahat, Finance Minister of Nepal, Mr Tran Luu Quang, Deputy Prime Minister of Vietnam, Mr Petr Fiala Prime Minister of Czech Republic, and Mr Filipe Nyusi, President of Mozambique, Mr José Ramos-Horta, President of Timor Leste also addressed the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit. President of the United Arab Emirates & Ruler of Abu Dhabi, H.R.H Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan also made his address at the beginning of the Summit.
The Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit conceptualized in 2003 under the visionary leadership of the then Chief Minister Shri Narendra Modi has evolved as one of the most reputed global forums for business collaboration, knowledge sharing and strategic partnerships for inclusive growth and sustainable development. The 10th edition of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit being held from 10 to 12 January 2024 in Gandhinagar, Gujarat celebrates “20 Years of Vibrant Gujarat as the Summit of Success” with the theme ‘Gateway to the Future’.
There are 34 partner countries and 16 partner organizations for this year’s Summit. Further, the Ministry of Development of North-Eastern Region will utilize the Vibrant Gujarat platform to showcase investment opportunities in the North-Eastern regions.
The Summit will host various events including seminars and conferences on globally relevant topics such as Industry 4.0, Technology and Innovation, Sustainable Manufacturing, Green Hydrogen, Electric Mobility and Renewable Energy and Transition towards Sustainability.
