EIL Hiring Director (Projects): PESB Opens Applications for High-Paying Navratna PSU Post
New Delhi, June 1, 2026: The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) has invited applications for the post of Director (Projects) at Engineers India Limited (EIL), one of India's leading engineering consultancy and project management companies in the energy sector.
The vacancy is scheduled to arise on June 1, 2027, and the selected candidate will become part of the Board of Directors of the Navratna public sector enterprise.
Key Leadership Role at EIL
The Director (Projects) will be responsible for overseeing the execution of major projects undertaken by EIL, both as a consultant and as an Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contractor. The position reports directly to the Chairman and Managing Director and plays a crucial role in driving the company's project delivery capabilities.
The executive will lead multidisciplinary engineering teams and work closely with clients, government agencies, contractors, vendors, and international stakeholders. Eligibility Criteria
Candidates applying for the position must be engineering graduates from a recognized university or institution with a strong academic background.
Applicants should have at least five years of cumulative experience during the last ten years in technical operations, project management, or related leadership roles within a reputed consultancy organization. Experience in handling domestic and overseas projects, particularly in the hydrocarbon sector, will be an added advantage.
The post is open to eligible candidates from CPSEs, government services, state public sector enterprises, public sector banks, financial institutions, and large private sector companies meeting the prescribed criteria.
Salary and Tenure
The position carries a pay scale of ₹1.80 lakh to ₹3.40 lakh per month (IDA) and is classified as a Schedule 'A' Board-level post.
The appointment will be for a period of five years from the date of joining or until the age of superannuation, whichever is earlier.
