Kolkata, June 1, 2026: Hindustan Copper Limited (HCL), a Government of India enterprise and the country's only vertically integrated copper producer, has informed stock exchanges about a key change in its senior management. The company announced that Shri Umesh Singh, Executive Director (Mining), has taken over the charge of Unit Head of the Indian Copper Complex (ICC) with effect from May 30, 2026.

The disclosure was made through a regulatory filing submitted to BSE and NSE on June 1, 2026, in compliance with Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.

 

Umesh Singh Assumes Charge at Indian Copper Complex

According to the filing, Shri Umesh Singh assumed the responsibilities of Unit Head, Indian Copper Complex, pursuant to Office Order No. HCL/ICC/HR/EC/US(1697)/2026 dated May 30, 2026. His appointment follows a transfer order issued by the Corporate Office of Hindustan Copper earlier in May 2026.

The Indian Copper Complex, located at Ghatsila in Jharkhand's East Singhbhum district, is one of the company's important operational units and plays a significant role in HCL's mining and metallurgical activities.

Regulatory Disclosure by Hindustan Copper

Hindustan Copper stated that the appointment is a senior management change requiring disclosure under SEBI regulations. The company further clarified that Shri Umesh Singh is not related to any Director, Key Managerial Personnel (KMP), or their relatives.

The filing was signed by Mrityunjay Kumar Dev, Company Secretary and Compliance Officer of Hindustan Copper Limited.
