Adani Green Commissions 50 MW Solar Project at Khavda, Operational Capacity Nears 20 GW
Ahmedabad: Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL) has operationalized a 50 MW solar power project at Khavda in Gujarat through its wholly-owned stepdown subsidiary, Adani Hybrid Energy Jaisalmer Five Limited (AHEJa5L).
The company disclosed the development in a regulatory filing to the stock exchanges on June 1, 2026, under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.
According to the filing, the project commenced operations following the receipt of relevant approvals and clearances. The decision to operationalize the plant was taken at 11:50 a.m. on June 1, 2026, with power generation beginning the same day.
With the commissioning of the new solar facility, Adani Green's total operational renewable energy generation capacity has increased to 19,835.8 MW, bringing the company closer to the 20 GW milestone.
The company also reported an operational Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) capacity of 3,366 MWh following the latest addition to its renewable energy portfolio.
