IRCON Announces Vacancy for Senior Electrical Officers, Applications Open Till July 14
New Delhi, June 17, 2026: State-owned engineering and construction company IRCON International Limited has invited applications from eligible Indian Railway Electrical Engineering Service (IRSEE) officers for one senior-level position in Guwahati, Assam, on a deputation basis.
According to Vacancy Notice No. 2026/IRCON/ELECT-05, issued on June 16, 2026, the company is seeking candidates for the post of Chief General Manager (CGM), General Manager (GM), or Additional General Manager (AGM) – Electrical.
Posting Location and Tenure
The selected officer will be posted in Guwahati, Assam, with an initial deputation tenure of three years, which may be extended up to five years.
The appointment will be made on a deputation basis and is open to officers belonging to different seniority levels, including:

SAG/NFSAG officers for the CGM level

Senior Grade (SG) officers for the GM level

Junior Administrative Grade (JAG) officers for the AGM level
Pay Scale and Benefits
Selected officers will receive parent cadre pay along with deputation allowance.
Pay Levels

CGM Level (Pay Matrix Level 14): Rs 1,44,200 – Rs 2,18,200

GM Level (Pay Matrix Level 13): Rs 1,23,100 – Rs 2,15,900

AGM Level (Pay Matrix Level 12): Rs 78,800 – Rs 2,09,200

Eligibility Criteria
IRCON has specified that eligible candidates should be SAG, NFSAG, SG or JAG IRSEE officers possessing experience in:

Construction and maintenance of substations

Project execution and tender preparation

Coordination with contractors, consultants and government authorities
Candidates should also possess strong communication skills and extensive domain knowledge.
