Vir Vikram Yadav to hold additional charge of Chairman of Central Pollution Control Board
Vir Vikram Yadav, an Indian Administrative Officer of Odisha Cadre of 1996-batch will join as Chairman of Central Pollution Control Board. He was appointed as the Additional Secretary of Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change in a reshuffle by Central Government on 19 April, 2025.
Earlier, he joins as Works Secretary from April 2022 and also held the position of Cooperation Secretary.
According to the notification issued, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved assignment of additional charge of the post of Chairman, Central Pollution Control Board, Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change to Shri Vir Vikram Yadav, IAS (OR:96), Additional Secretary, Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change till appointment of a regular incumbent or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
