New Delhi: In the presence of Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, a significant agreement was signed at Bagia to provide quality and modern teaching facilities in government schools of Jashpur district. A tripartite MoU was executed between the Jashpur District Administration, SECL, and EDCIL to promote digital education in schools.

On this occasion, the MoU was signed by Collector Shri Rohit Vyas on behalf of the District Administration, General Manager Shri C.M. Verma representing SECL, and Project Director Shri Vikas Sahrawat representing EDCIL.

The Chief Minister lauded the initiative, stating that it will foster innovation, curiosity, and technical skills among students, thereby laying a strong foundation for their bright future.

Under the MoU, interactive panels will be installed in selected government schools in Jashpur in a phased manner. These panels will allow teachers to use digital content, videos, presentations, and e-learning resources, making classes more engaging, simple, and effective. The agreement also includes provisions for training, operation, and regular maintenance of these panels to ensure their sustained and effective use.

For this project, SECL has sanctioned ₹5 crore under CSR, which will cover the installation of 206 interactive panels across the district’s schools. This initiative will enable hundreds of students to access quality digital education. Collector Shri Rohit Vyas expressed gratitude to SECL and EDCIL for their collaboration and expressed confidence that the project will lead to significant improvement in students’ academic performance.
