IAS Santosh Kumar Sarangi gets additional charge of SECI CMD
IAS officer Santosh Kumar Sarangi gets additional charge as CMD of Solar Energy Corporation of India following the termination of Rameshwar Prasad Gupta.
IAS Officer 1994 batch of Odisha Cadre, Shri Santosh Kumar Sarangi, has been entrusted with additional charge of Chairman and Managing Director of Solar Energy Corporation of India. The appointment was made amid the termination of Shri Rameshwar Prasad Gupta, within the few days before his tenure.
According to the official statement released, competent authority has approved assignment of additional charge of the post of Chairman & Managing Director, Solar Energy Corporation of India Ltd., Ministry of New & Renewable Energy to Shri Santosh Kumar Sarangi, IAS (OR:94), Secretary, Ministry of New & Renewable Energy till the appointment of a regular incumbent or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

He is currently serving as Secretary of the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy. He holds an M.Phil in Political Science and has been active in the roles of Principal Secretary, Science and Technology Department, Odisha, CMD of Odisha Mining Corporation and many more. He has also served as Director General of Foreign Trade in the Department of Commerce.
