VOC Port Chairperson, Susanta Kumar Purohit to hold additional charge of Chairman of Paradip Port Authority

Mumbai: The Appointment Committee of Cabinet (ACC) approved the additional charge of the post of Chairperson, Paradip Port Authority to Shri Susanta Kumar Purohit, Chairperson, V.O. Chidambaranar Port Authority w.e.f 1.09.2026 for a period of six months or till new Chairperson is appointed or until further orders, whichever is the earliest.

According to the exchange filing by Dredging Corporation of India Ltd, the Paradip Port Authority has informed that the Appointment Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has appointed Shri Susanta Kumar Purohit, IRSEE to hold the additional charge of the post of Chairman, Paradip Port Authority, for a period of six months with effect from 01.09.2026, or until the appointment of a new Chairman, or until further orders, whichever is earlier, in place of Shri P. L. Haranadh, IRSEE.

Purohit is an Indian Railway Services of Electrical Engineers (IRSEE) of 1996-batch. He has been appointed as Chairperson to the V.O. Chidambaranar Port Authority in February 2024 with a tenure lasting until May 2027.
