Railway Minister called for coordinating among Railways, Coal, Power entities
On Monday Railway Minister Shri Piyush Goyal is in conversation with the top leadership of the Coal and Power Sector to ensure consolidation of the coal business of Railways and suggest ways and means to further improve the joint operational productivity of Railways, Coal and power sector concerning Coal Freight.
Union Minister also praised the relentless efforts of the Railways in the field of boosting freight loading and there was no scope of any slippages on any front. Coal accounts for almost 50 percent of the freight of Railways.
The Ministry said the coal entity will enhance and increase the significant impact on the railway revenue, the increase in freight revenue is 13.54 percent.
