Shri Akhilesh Singh takes charge as the Business Unit Head, NTPC Bongaigaon
New Delhi: Shri Akhilesh Singh has been appointed as Project Head of NTPC Bongaigaon, the 750 MW NTPC flagship power station of NTPC in Assam with effect from 27.05.2024. Prior to joining NTPC Bongaigaon, Shri Singh held the position of Head of Project of NTPC Lara, Chhattisgarh generating 1600 MW. Shri Singh has succeeded Shri K. C. Muraleedharan who has been relocated to NTPC Dadri as Head of Project.

Shri Singh has credit for having rich exposure to working in NTPC's largest Power Stations at Rihand and Vindhyachal where he played a pivotal role in overseeing operational efficiency and excellence.
During the long association of over 30 years under the leadership of Shri Singh contributed a lot to achieving a greater height in the O&M Performance of various stations of NTPC. Shri Singh had earlier joined the NTPC Lara team as General Manager (Fuel Management), and later served in the critical function of GM (O&M) and Head of the Project of the 1600 MW NTPC Lara Super Thermal Power Station.
Throughout his career, Shri Akhilesh Singh has undergone extensive training in various domains, including safety, power plant efficiency, Preventive Vigilance, Coal Coordination, O&M Practices, Human Resources, First Aid and CPR Certification, Advance Leadership Programme and Commercial Aspects specific to NTPC. His commitment to continuous learning and development depicts his dedication to excellence in the Power Sector.

Under his able guidance, NTPC Bongaigaon is poised to further strengthen its position as a key player in the power generation landscape, while upholding the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and sustainability with commitment to the nearby communities.
