New Delhi, December 2025 — Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID), a Maharatna CPSU under the Ministry of Power, has successfully commissioned the 765 kV double-circuit Khetri–Narela transmission line, a major achievement in strengthening the power transmission network of North India.

The completion of this high-capacity line is a significant milestone in enhancing grid reliability, supporting renewable energy integration, and improving long-distance bulk power transfer capability. POWERGRID said the successful commissioning reflects the exceptional commitment of its project teams who worked relentlessly across challenging terrain and adverse weather conditions.

The company highlighted that the project embodies its enduring spirit — “No Terrain Too Tough, No Season Too Rough,” echoing its culture of overcoming complex engineering challenges to deliver critical national infrastructure on time.

The new line is expected to improve power availability in Delhi, NCR, Rajasthan, and adjoining regions while supporting the evacuation of renewable energy from resource-rich states.
