BEML Ltd. Strengthens Vigilance Framework with Awareness Session and Release of Vigilance Manual 3.0
As part of its commitment to prevention and promoting transparency in public service, BEML Ltd. organized an awareness session called “Vigilance, Anti-Corruption Measures, and Conduct of Public Servants.”
The session featured Shri Rishi Kumar Shukla, IPS (Retd.), former Director of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and Director General of Police, Madhya Pradesh, as the Chief Guest. Drawing from his extensive experience in law enforcement and vigilance, Shri Shukla shared important insights on the ethical behavior expected from public servants and the changing methods to reduce corruption.
Shri Shantanu Roy, Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of BEML Ltd., attended the event, along with Shri Sajid Farid Shapoo, IPS, Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) of BEML. Additional attendees included functional directors of the company and Chief Vigilance Officers from other notable Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) and organizations such as HAL, BEL, Canara Bank, KIOCL, BMRCL, ITI, KAPL, HMT, and BRBNMPL.
A key moment of the session was the official launch of the BEML Vigilance Manual 3.0, which presents updated frameworks and improved best practices to strengthen the organization's vigilance efforts. The new manual aims to create transparency, simplify internal processes, and promote a culture of ethical compliance throughout the company.
The session highlighted the essential role of vigilance in protecting public assets and empowering citizens. It was clear that a vigilant organizational culture not only deters corruption but also fosters trust and accountability in public systems.
