IGL Announces Postal Ballot for Reappointment of Independent Director Dr Shyam Agrawal
New Delhi, January 10 2026 Indraprastha Gas Limited IGL has informed the stock exchanges about the conduct of a postal ballot process to seek approval of its shareholders for the reappointment of Independent Director Dr Shyam Agrawal.
The company said that the remote e voting window will open on Tuesday January 20 2026 at 09 00 hours and will close on Wednesday February 18 2026 at 17 30 hours. The result of the postal ballot will be announced on or before Friday February 20 2026.
The proposal seeks shareholders approval to extend the tenure of Dr Shyam Agrawal for one year from December 6 2025 up to December 5 2026. The board approved the extension based on the recommendation of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee and after evaluating his performance skills and experience.
Dr Shyam Agrawal is a doctorate in law and a qualified Company Secretary with more than 18 years of professional experience across corporate law governance finance and regulatory compliance. He currently serves on the boards of several listed and unlisted companies and plays an active role in multiple board committees.
IGL stated that the postal ballot notice has been sent electronically to shareholders whose email addresses are registered with the company or depositories. The company has appointed KFIN Technologies Limited as the agency for conducting the remote e voting process.
The company said that the move is in compliance with the provisions of the Companies Act 2013 and SEBI Listing Regulations and reflects its continued commitment to strong corporate governance practices.
Shares of Indraprastha Gas Limited are listed on BSE and NSE under the security code 532514 and trading symbol IGL.
