NHPC Hosts Standing Committee on Labour in Darjeeling
Darjeeling,18 June, 2026 – NHPC Limited, India’s premier hydropower company, successfully hosted a high-profile study visit and meeting of the Standing Committee on Labour, Textiles and Skill Development in the scenic hill town of Darjeeling today. The event underscored NHPC’s proactive approach to aligning its human resource practices with the nation’s evolving legislative framework.
The session, held on June 18, 2026, witnessed the participation of top NHPC leadership, including Shri Suprakash Adhikari, Director (Technical) , Shri Anil Kumar Dash, Executive Director, RO Siliguri, and Shri Naveen Kumar Jain, Executive Director (HR), alongside other senior officials.
Key Briefing on Labour Code Compliance
During the committee meeting, Shri Suprakash Adhikari delivered a comprehensive briefing on NHPC’s compliance with the New Labour Codes/Rules. His presentation detailed the steps taken by the organization to seamlessly integrate the recent reforms into its workforce management, ensuring that employee welfare, safety, and statutory adherence remain at the forefront of NHPC’s operational philosophy.
