SCILAL Urges Shareholders to Claim Uncredited Demat Shares from Unclaimed Securities Suspense Escrow Account

Mumbai, 18 June 2026: Shipping Corporation of India Land and Assets Limited (SCILAL) has informed stock exchanges that it has initiated communication with shareholders whose equity shares remain uncredited and are currently held in the Company's Demat Unclaimed Securities Suspense Escrow Account.

The disclosure was made under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015 and was submitted to both BSE and NSE on June 18, 2026.

 

Why Are the Shares in the Suspense Escrow Account?

According to the company, these equity shares were allotted pursuant to the Scheme of Arrangement for Demerger between Shipping Corporation of India Limited (SCI) and SCILAL. However, the shares could not be credited to certain shareholders' Beneficial Owner (BO) accounts because the respective demat accounts had been closed.

In compliance with Regulation 39 read with Schedule VI of the SEBI Listing Regulations, SCILAL transferred such returned or rejected shares to a separate Demat Unclaimed Securities Suspense Escrow Account maintained by the company.

 

Shareholders Asked to Complete Formalities

SCILAL has requested affected shareholders to submit the necessary documents and complete prescribed formalities to claim their entitled equity shares from the Suspense Escrow Account.

The company has advised shareholders to submit the required documents to its Registrar and Transfer Agent (RTA), Bigshare Services Pvt. Ltd., on or before July 15, 2026.

Documents Required for Claiming Shares

Eligible shareholders are required to submit the following documents:

  • Request letter for transfer of shares from the Company's Suspense Escrow Account to the shareholder's demat account.

  • Client Master List (CML) of both old and new demat accounts, not older than two months and duly signed and stamped by the Depository Participant (DP).

  • Self-attested copies of PAN Card and Aadhaar Card.

  • In transmission cases, relevant transmission documents including death certificate and prescribed forms, wherever applicable.

 

Company Shares List Available on Website

SCILAL stated that the list of shareholders whose shares were returned during the corporate action process and subsequently credited to the Demat Unclaimed Securities Suspense Escrow Account has been uploaded on the company's website.

Affected investors are advised to verify their status and complete the documentation process at the earliest to ensure smooth transfer of their entitled shares.

The company informed stock exchanges that the communication was sent to concerned shareholders on June 18, 2026. The event occurred at 5:24 PM IST and has been disclosed in accordance with applicable SEBI regulations.
