Power Grid acquires Fategarh II Transmission Ltd under bidding process at Rs 19.11 crore

New Delhi, 29 August: State-owned Power Finance Corporation Ltd. has informed through exchanges that Fatehgarh II Transmission Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of PFC Consulting Limited (a wholly owned subsidiary of Power Finance Corporation Limited), has been transferred to state-run power giant Power Grid Corporation of India Limited, the successful bidder, on 28.08.2026.

Fatehgarh II Transmission Limited has been established for the development of "Installation of 2 Nos. of Synchronous Condenser (SynCon) units at 765/400/220 kV Fatehgarh-II PS."

The process for sale and transfer of the said SPV to the successful bidder is completed on 28.08.2026. The cost of the acquisition by Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. is Rs 19.11 crore.

Further, the consideration for sale & transfer of SPVs is determined in accordance with the guidelines issued, from time to time, by the Ministry of Power, Government of India.
