Railway Board Approves Deputation of SCR Officer to Konkan Railway

The Ministry of Railways (Railway Board) has ordered the deputation of Shri K. Raveendranath, IRSME, to Konkan Railway Corporation Ltd. (KRCL).

The order is dated 7 September 2026.

Details of the Deputation

Shri K. Raveendranath (IRSME, Date of Birth: 21.08.1973) is currently serving as Senior Divisional Mechanical Engineer (Co-ordination) at Secunderabad, South Central Railway.

He has been selected for deputation to KRCL as CPO/Mechanical at Vadalapudi Workshop, Visakhapatnam.

The deputation is for a period of three years or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
It will be on the usual terms of deputation — parent pay plus deputation allowance.
The posting is subject to KRCL’s exemption from the rule of immediate absorption.

Directions Issued

The General Manager, South Central Railway, Secunderabad, has been requested to relieve the officer to take up the new assignment in KRCL.

The date of relief is to be intimated to the Railway Board.

Copies of the order have been sent to the Chairman & Managing Director, KRCL, and other concerned officials in the Railway Board.

The officer will be deemed to have been relieved on the date of expiry of the deputation period unless the competent authority extends it in writing with requisite approvals prior to expiry, as per DoP&T guidelines.
