Shri Abhay Choudhary holds his new post of director in Power Grid Corporation
Earlier, Shri Abhay Choudhary served as the Executive Director in the same Corporation.

New Delhi: The Appointment Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the proposal of the ministry of power for appointment of Shri Abhay Choudhary, Executive Director of Power grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL) to the post of Director (Projects).
Earlier, he served as the Executive Director in the same Corporation.
Power grid Corporation of India is one of the leading state-owned company engaged mainly in the transmission of power. POWERGRID transmits about 50% of the total power generated in India on its transmission network. Its original name was the 'National Power Transmission Corporation Limited', and it was charged with planning, executing, owning, operating and maintaining high-voltage transmission systems in the country. On 8 November 1990, the National Power Transmission Corporation received its Certificate for Commencement of Business.
