Shimla, September 8, 2026: SJVN Limited Director (Projects) Rajesh Kumar Chandel visited the 210 MW Luhri Hydro Electric Project (Stage-I) and 412 MW Rampur Hydro Power Station in Himachal Pradesh to review construction progress and operational performance.

Review of Luhri Hydro Electric Project

At Luhri HEP-I, Chandel reviewed the progress of construction activities, site-related issues and the upcoming work plan. He also interacted with the project team and contractors.

He stressed the need for effective coordination among stakeholders to ensure timely execution while maintaining quality and safety standards. He appreciated the team's efforts and provided guidance for completing the ongoing works within the stipulated timeframe.

Operational Review of Rampur HPS

At Rampur HPS, Chandel visited the Power House and reviewed power generation, operations, maintenance practices, and technical and safety arrangements.

He emphasized the importance of safe, efficient and reliable operation and maintenance of the power station. During the visit, he also planted a sapling on the project premises, highlighting SJVN's focus on environmental conservation and green initiatives.
