NEW DELHI- DELHI METRO RAIL CORPORATION celebrated International Womens Day2023 on 06 march 2023 with the theme DigitALL: Innovation & Technology for Gender Equality. It was organized at Prakriti Park for the women employees/commuters to encourage & appreciate their contribution towards DMRC & society.
The celebration began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by Dr Shalini Singh, DMRC’s first lady. The wives of DMRC’s Directors Smt. Varsha Garg, Smt. Alka Garg & Smt. Archana Saini was also present on the occasion.
The celebration included interactive sessions about digital payments, wellness & mental health awareness by Mrs Kanupriya Madan & Dr. Geeta Kumari.
A colourful cultural program & quiz followed by prize distribution for the winners of the online competitions were also organized.
As a part of InternationalWomensDay2023 celebrations, DelhiMetro in collaboration with Vedica Foundation also curated a mural on the theme ‘Delhi-NCR as a city of women’ at Dwarka Sec-14 Metro Station.
The mural painted by an all-women team of muralists from different parts of India was inaugurated today by Sh. Vikas Kumar, MD/DMRC and Dr. Shalini Singh, DMRC’s first lady in the presence of the women artists involved in its execution at the station wall.
