NMDC Iron Ore Production Jumps to 4.07 MT in August 2026; Sales Reach 3.58 MT

New Delhi, 1 September 2026: NMDC Limited reported provisional iron ore production of 4.07 million tonnes (MT) and sales of 3.58 MT in August 2026, according to a regulatory filing submitted to the stock exchanges.

The company's August production increased from 3.37 MT in August 2025, while sales rose from 3.39 MT in the year-ago month.

 

NMDC August 2026 Production and Sales

NMDC's total iron ore production stood at 4.07 MT in August 2026, compared with 3.37 MT in August 2025.

Iron ore sales increased to 3.58 MT from 3.39 MT during the corresponding month of the previous year.

Sector-wise Performance

Chhattisgarh recorded iron ore production of 2.64 MT in August 2026, up from 2.21 MT in August 2025. Sales stood at 2.51 MT, compared with 2.28 MT a year earlier.

In Karnataka, production increased to 1.43 MT from 1.16 MT, while sales stood at 1.07 MT, compared with 1.11 MT in August 2025.

 

NMDC Cumulative Production Through August 2026

For the period up to August 2026, NMDC's cumulative iron ore production reached 23.23 MT, compared with 18.45 MT during the corresponding period of 2025.

Cumulative sales stood at 18.72 MT, compared with 18.37 MT up to August 2025.
